The Anglo-Saxon royal burial site near Woodbridge is where the priceless Sutton Hoo treasure was discovered in a huge ship grave. The new National Trust exhibition tells the story of the site and displays some original objects as well as replicas of the treasure.

2. Framlingham Castle, complete with moat, you are able to walk around the impressive battlements which offer stunning views across the local countryside. (Children are guaranteed to be worn out if you picnic outside) 3. Minsmere Bird Reserve 4. Orford, famous for its oysters and fish restaurant which has a traditional smoking house set behind, where you are able to purchase goods direct. Orford has it's own castle with secret chambers and magnificent views out to sea. A favorite spot for walkers. * The 'Lady Florence' sails from Orford, offering short boat trips, drinks and meals - you must pre-book. 5. Newmarket Races Racing in July and August; on July Course and September October on Rowley Mile Course.
